There are more affordable options that are still really good choices, but I’m going to be at Road America, which has some pretty fast sections, so it makes sense to get a really good set of pads. These or Carbotech XP10s were recommend by a buddy of mine who does a lot of tracking in the Midwest, and has driven RA quite a few times.

Well if I got Hawks I’d get the HT-10s, which cost about the same as the PMU Club Racers. Hawk HPSs are a street/autox pad, and HP+s are a light duty track pad, probably not up to the task of a faster track like Road America. Even if they did work they’d likely be done by the end of my weekend. I’d rather not take any risks when it comes to my brakes failing.

The fluid is probably a little overkill, as it’s on the same level as Motul 660 although just slightly cheaper. I could get away with Motul 600, but again I’d rather spend slightly more for the reassurance that I likely won’t have any risk of boiling the brake fluid.

In a couple weeks I’ll be ordering a wavetrac for the HEMIWagon, along with a set of either 3.06 or 3.23 gears for the rear. Currently has a 2.82 open diff. Looking to toss that because it’s got significant wear around the ring gear.

I’ll eventually be looking for a 300C SRT upgraded axles because they should be a direct swap and handle more power than the replacement stock axles I just had put in (needed the car running, didn’t have time or the current budget to throw at 600HP axles a couple months ago). Need 600ish HP axles, and new wheel bearings on all four corners. Once the drivetrain is sorted, I get to start shopping for a 392 block and send it to a machine shop. Once it’s done at the machine shop, it’ll go to my friends shop for a forged bottom end and bearing installation. Once the bearings are done, I’ll pick it up and stick it on an engine stand and start building the final form for the HEMIWagon. I can’t wait!

From all of the reviews I’ve read they are actually pretty quiet.

I’ll only be running them on the street for a few days before my track event and then swapping the stock pads back on before driving home, so noise isn’t a huge factor for me anyway.

I would have done it myself but the place I got the kit from didn’t ship it out right away and received them 2-days prior to a track day.

Another shop installed my oil cooler upside down. No biggie, still works properly, but instead of an M for Mishimoto on the cooler it looks like a W.

That’s the only two times I’ve had a shop do work on my car.

I bought Forza so that I would stay in and not go to the bar 3 nights a week to save money for my VANOS rebuild ($2k) but once that's done I don't have to worry about my motor grenading.

i do most of “dangerous activities” discreetly. But they do let me ride a road bike by myself (discouraged though) up and through the Oakland hills. I'm starting Auto-X next month (because SA-2015 helmet), again, under heavy secrecy from parents.
